Bonnie Barlow

Bonnie Jean (Aust) Barlow, age 82, of Mexico formerly of Iberia, passed away Sunday, December 11, 2011, at Pin Oaks Golden Living Center in Mexico, Missouri. She was born in Tuscumbia on April 2, 1929, daughter of the late Wilbert and Sadie (Albertson) Aust. On January 2, 1948, in Iberia, Bonnie married Gerald Lloyd Barlow, who survives at the home. Bonnie was a member of the Hickory Point Baptist Church from 1944 until 1954, when she moved to Mexico, Missouri and became a member of the First Baptist Church. She is also survived by two sons, Gregory Gerald Barlow and wife Jane of Jefferson City and Jeffrey Jay Barlow and wife Susan of O'Fallon; three granddaughters, Jill Gockel and husband Eric of Maryville, Sarah Barlow of Liberty, and Lesley Barlow of Jefferson City; one granddaughter-in-law, Alicia Barlow of Olathe, Kansas; one great-grandson, Kody Gockel of Maryville; and many relatives, family and friends. She was preceded in death by one grandson, Jeremy Barlow; one sister, Rosalie Barr; and two brothers, Gail Aust and Wayne Aust. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 (noon), with services immediately following at 12 (noon), on Saturday, December 17, 2011, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Bro. Mac McCully will officiate. A private graveside service will be held at Hickory Point Cemetery near Iberia. Memorial contributions are suggested to Livingston Cemetery or to Hickory Point Cemetery.
