Carl Bahr

Carl W. Bahr, 69, of St. Louis, Mo., formerly of Jamestown, Mo., passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2011, at Barnes Jewish Extended Care in St. Louis, Mo. He was born on December 25, 1941, in Bonnetís Mill, Mo., the son of Charles A. and Margaret A. (Brester) Bahr, both of whom preceded him in death. He was a 1959 Jamestown High School graduate, as well as a graduate of barber college. He worked as an inventory department manager for Southwestern Bell for 25 years, and worked as a barber for 14 years, owning his own shop in the St. Louis area. He is survived by one brother, John Bahr and wife Barbara of Jefferson City, Mo.; one niece, Gayla Welsh and husband Jeff, Camdenton, Mo.; and one great-nephew, Jackson Charles Welsh. He was preceded in death by two infant brothers. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services in California, Mo. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Jefferson City, Mo. Officiating will be Rev. Janet Deneke. Visitation will also be held on Wednesday, December 14, 2011, from 10:00 a.m. ñ 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Grace United Methodist Church, c/o Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, 100 S. Oak, California, MO 65018.
