Bethany Ann Turley, age 20 years, of Jefferson City, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2011. Bethany was born October 11, 1991, in San Antonio, Texas, to James and Linda (Pickett) Turley. During her short life, Bethany took up baton-twirling and fire baton-twirling as a youngster. She had an amazing artistic ability, was an avid fan of Elvis Presley, displayed a natural love and ability to fix hair and make-up and had a one-time experience of dancing with the Kansas City Chiefs Cheerleaders during a half-time show at Arrow Head Stadium, Kansas City. Bethany loved family get-togethers and BBQ's, spending time with her family over the holidays, and being an aunt to her niece, Maycie and nephews, Aiden and Jaxon. She treated her pets as though they were her children. Bethany's adventurous side included mudding and four-wheelers. Survivors include her mother and step-father, Linda and Michael Zidek of Floresville, Texas; step-father, Mike Crawley of Jefferson City; grandmother, Lois Turley of Oklahoma; one brother, David Ross (Alisha Twyman) of Jefferson City; sister, Alexa Aronson (Justin Blessing) of New York City; sister, Jamie Goff (Jeremy Goff) of Holts Summit; twin sister, Brianna Turley (Cole Robertson) of Vienna; one niece, Maycie Goff; two nephews, Aiden Tolbert and Jaxon Goff, and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. Bethany was preceded in death by her father, James Turley, brother, JJ Turley, grandfathers, Earl Turley and James Pickett, and grandmother, Audrey Pickett. A private memorial was held Friday, November 25, 2011, at Union Hill Baptist Church in Holts Summit, followed by a balloon release on the hillside at Summit Lake Winery overlooking Jefferson City.
