Mary Ellen Bonine, 66, of Centertown, Mo., passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2011, at her residence. She was born on February 5, 1945, in Jefferson City, Mo., the daughter of Basil and Marie (Kliegel) Son. She was a 1962 graduate of California High School. She was married June 8, 1963, in St. Martins, Mo., to John Cleveland Bonine, who preceded her in death on July 27, 2006. Mary worked at the Missouri Department of Revenue for 30 years and retired in 1999. She later went to work for four years with the Jefferson City Country Club. She enjoyed researching the family geneology, cooking, gardening and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by one son, Brian C. Bonine and wife Candy of Tipton, Mo.; one daughter, Lorrie A. Brauner of Centertown, Mo.; one sister, Deborah Son of Jefferson City, Mo.; three grandchildren, Nicholas Brauner, Kelsey Brauner and Sarah Johnson and husband Matt; two great-grandchildren, Peyton and Taylor Johnson. She was preceded in death by one sister, Joan Son; and one brother, Richard E. Son. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 2, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery near Centertown. Officiating will be Father Ed Schmidt. Visitation will be held today, Thursday, December 1, 2011, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the New Hope Cemetery Association, c/o Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, 100 S.
