Mr. Bob V. Luck, age 79 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., died Monday, August 29, 2011, at St. Mary's Health Center. Bob was born April 10, 1932, in Hannibal, Mo., the son of Kenneth W. and Vivian Melson Luck. He was married on April 6, 1951, in Jefferson City, Mo., to Genevieve Bond. A lifelong resident of the Jefferson City area, Bob graduated from Jefferson City High School and attended the University of Missouri. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Bob was employed with the Jefferson City Police Dept. as a photographer and was in charge of the Criminal Evidence Lab for 17 years. He was then employed with the Missouri State Highway Patrol as supervisor of the Photograph Lab until his retirement in 2000. He had a lifelong love of photography, selling his first photograph at the age of 12. Bob was a charter member of Concord Baptist Church; a member of the Jefferson Lodge No. 43, A.F. & A.M.; a member of the Capital Shrine; a member of the Moolah Temple; and a member of the Professional Photographers Assn. Survivors include: his wife of 60 years, Genevieve Luck; one son, Bob V. Luck Jr. and his wife Janel of Jefferson City, Mo.; one daughter, Barbara Ebersold of Jefferson City, Mo.; four grandchildren, Brianne Luck, Chelsea Luck, Lawrence Ebersold and Christopher Ebersold; and one great-grandson, Damain Ebersold. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be at Concord Baptist Church from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. Friday. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 2, 2011, at Concord Baptist Church with the Reverend Dr. Monte Shinkle officiating. Graveside services and entombment with military honors will be conducted at the Mausoleum of Hawthorn Memorial Gardens. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Concord Baptist Church.
