James Paul Steinhauser, 66, of Otterville, passed away Friday, August 19, 2011, at University Hospital, Columbia. He was born on September 28, 1944, in Eldon, Mo., son of Charles R. and Mae (Henson) Steinhauser. He was married to Donna Stinnett from November 1974 to February 1980. He was co-owner and operator, along with Tom Kloeppel, of T&J Restoration and Waterproofing. He served his country honorably in the Army fighting for his country in the Vietnam War. He is survived by three sisters, Betty Dunn of Eldon, Mo., Janet Whittle of Tuscumbia, Shawnee Wood of Tuscumbia; one brother, Johnathan Steinhauser of Albequerque, N.M. and one stepson, Kevin Stinnett of Arizona. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Beverly Richardson. A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 30, 2011, at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia, with Pastor Viola Rhoads officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 - 6:30 p.m., prior to service. Full military honors will be conducted by VFW Post #2591. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association in care of the funeral chapel.
