Nancy Dalton

Nancy Gage Dalton, 84, of Jefferson City, died Monday, August 8, 2011, at St. Mary's Health Center. She was born on December 18, 1926, in Horatio, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Frank Richard and Mary Louise Porter Gage. She was united in marriage on February 11, 1955, in Kansas City, Mo., to Thomas Erwin Dalton who resides at the home. A homemaker, she was a member of the Cathedral of St. Joseph. Nancy also was volunteered with the Samaritan Center as a tutor. Nancy was an avid reader, enjoyed playing bridge, golfing, and traveling. Other survivors include: three daughters, Mary Colleen Dalton (Douglas W. Briggs Jr.) Vienna, Va.; Annemarie Dalton, Fairway, Kan.; Ellen (Trey) DeBose, Merriam, Kan.; four grandchildren, Samantha Cowan; Bridget Minor, Thomas Briggs, and Claire Briggs; and two nephews, Kelly Gage and Shepard Gage, both of Arkansas. She was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Gage. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 10, 2011, at the Cathedral of St. Joseph with the Rev. Msgr. Robert A. Kurwicki officiating. Entombment will be in Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum. Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, at the church. Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association, 2400 Bluff Creek Dr., Columbia, MO 65201.
