John Dale Chip Gulick, 43, of Lake St. Louis, Missouri, passed away Friday, August 5, 2011, from injuries sustained in a car accident near his home. Before moving to the St. Louis area in 1995, he lived in Lenexa, Kansas. John was born September 16, 1967, in Omaha, Nebraska, the son of John and Barbara (Lytle) Gulick, who survive in Jefferson City. He was a 1986 graduate of Shawnee-Mission Northwest High School in Shawnee, Kansas, and received his Bachelor of Science in Business Management in 1991, from Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Missouri. John was currently employed at Citimortgage in O'Fallon, Mo., as Director of Correspondent Pricing. He was previously employed as Director of National Corporate Sales for Trans World Airlines in St. Louis. During high school and college, he worked as a grocery clerk at the Thriftway Store in Lenexa, and at the Roeland Park State Bank. He was a life-long member of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), grew up as a member of Merriam Christian Church, Merriam, Kan., and attended Millersburg Christian Church in Fulton, Mo. as often as possible. He was an avid sports fan, especially Nebraska football and St. Louis Cardinal Baseball. He enjoyed running in half marathons and golfing. He previously played on baseball, soccer, and hockey teams. John was always one to think of others, and in his passing, he kept on giving to others by being an organ donor. Besides his parents, John is also survived by his son: Jackson Dale Gulick of the home; former wife and best friend: Andrea Gulick; his grandparents: Floyd and Marie Lytle of Jefferson City; Jeanne Gulick of Kansas City, Mo.; his sister: Stefanie Hubbard of Carbondale, Kan.; his sister: Jennifer Brown (Chad) of Steamboat Springs, Colo.; niece and nephew: Chester and Cassie Hubbard of Carbondale; his uncle: Jim Lytle (Laurie) of Carter Lake, Colo.; aunt: Linda Puckett (Don) of Dakota Dunes, S.D.; six cousins and many friends and co-workers. He will also be missed by his chocolate Labs: Toby and Charley. He was preceded in death by a grandfather: John Kenneth Gulick. Friends will be received from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 9, 2011, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home in Jefferson City, Mo. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 10, 2011, at the Millersburg Christian Church in Fulton, Mo., with Rev. Larry Veatch and Rev. David Avery officiating. Interment will follow in the Millersburg Cemetery.
