Andrew B. Kempker, 85, Eldon, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2011, in Eldon. He was born March 10, 1926, in Mary's Home, Mo., the son of August Kempker and Teresa (Evers) Kempker. He was married November 16, 1946, in Eldon, to Florentine Anna (Bungart) Kempker, who preceded him in death May 15, 2011. Andrew was a veteran of the United States Army during World War II. He was employed with International Shoe Company and retired from J.C. Industries in Jefferson City, Missouri after fifty plus years. He was also a farmer and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the AMVETS, the VFW and the Laborers Union. He was an avid fisherman. Survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and Charles Facemire, Eldon, Mo.; six grandchildren, Troy Facemire, Overland Park, Kan., Chalee Crouch, Olean, Mo., Reagan Bax, Lake Ozark, Mo., Teresa Weaver, Rocky Mount, Mo., Brian Kempker, San Antonio, Texas and Andrew Kempker, San Antonio, Texas.; eight great-children; one brother, Norbert Kempker, Jefferson City, Mo.; three sisters, Mary Ann Holtzer, St. Martins, Mo., Dorothy Berendzen, Mary's Home, Mo., and Bernetta Adrian, Mary's Home, Mo.; a daughter-in-law, Pat Kempker, San Antonio, Texas. He was preceded in death by one son. LeRoy B. Kempker and one brother, August Kempker Jr. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, August 2, 2011, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Eldon, Mo. with Rosary prayed at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 3, 2011, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Eldon, with Rev. Frederick Elskamp officiating. Burial will be in Greenmore Memorial Gardens, Barnett. Memorials suggested in care of the family.
