Karen Ann Goersch

Karen Ann Goersch, 65, of Fulton, died Thursday, April 14, 2011, at Villa Marie Skilled Nursing Facility. She was born April 13, 1946, in Prairietown, Ill., a daughter of Ed and Pauline (Crabtree) Gusewelle. She was a graduate of Edwardsville, Ill., high school and the Lewis and Clark College in Alton, Ill., with a degree in Nursing. On October 18, 1980, Karen was united in marriage in Prairietown, Ill., to Jerry Goersch, who survives at their home. She was a member of the Lutheran faith. Karen was a Licensed Practical Nurse and had worked at the Fulton Reception and Diagnostic Center and Presbyterian Manor in Fulton. Other survivors include one son, James Gusewelle of Fulton; one sister, Arlene Schaefer of Prairietown, Ill.; and one brother, Roy Gusewelle of Tennessee. Private family services will be held.
