Peggy S. Haymart

Mrs. Peggy S. Haymart, age 78 years, of Nashville, Tenn., formerly of Fulton, Mo., passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2011, at Lakeshore Heartland Nursing Home in Nashville. Mrs. Haymart was born on September 14, 1932, in Morehouse, Mo. She was born and raised in Morehouse, Mo. before moving to Fulton, Mo. where she was a 1950 graduate of Fulton High School. She was married on October 11, 1952, in Fulton, Mo to Walter J. Haymart. The Haymart family took a tour of the United States compliments of the United States Air Force. They lived in Shiloh, Ill.,, Anchorage, Alaska, Denver, Colo., Knob Noster, Mo. and Evansville, Ind., before returning to Fulton, Mo. in 1968. Walter and Peggy purchased Callaway Lanes and she helped run the bowling alley until her retirement in 1980. Peggy and Walter moved to Las Vegas, Nev., in 1985 where she spent 20 years playing slots and watching the game show network. In July 2005, she and Walter returned to mid-Missouri before she moved to Nashville in 2009. Peggy was an avid bowler but most importantly, she loved spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include: two sons, Mike Haymart and his wife Germaine of Jefferson City, Mo. and Mitch Haymart and his wife Michele of White House, Tenn.; one sister, Elizabeth Cox of Denver, Colo.; four grandchildren, Chad Haymart of Jefferson City, Mo., Joanna Haymart of White House, Tenn., Colleen Helms and her husband Trevor of Town and Country, Mo., and Mandy Beck of Jefferson City, Mo. She was preceded in death by her mother, Doris James Brown, on April 28, 2001, and her husband, Walter Haymart, on December 13, 2006. A visitation will be held at Central Christian Church in Fulton, Mo. from 11:00 until 12:00 noon, Monday, April 11, 2011. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 noon Monday at Central Christian Church, 4670 State Road KK, Fulton Mo., with the Reverend Bruce Williamson officiating. Graveside services and interment will be held at Callaway Memorial Gardens. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Susan G. Koman Foundation.
