Charles Henry Meller, 85, of Lohman, died Monday, April 4, 2011, at Oak Tree Villas. He was born on February 13, 1926, in Jefferson City, the son of the late Fredrick and Clara Limbach Meller. He was united in marriage on May 13, 1953, in Jefferson City, to LaVera June Kirchoff who preceded him in death on December 20, 1976. He later married Rose Ann Henke on June 2, 1978, in Kansas City, Mo. She died on January 4, 2008. Henry was the owner and operator of Pay Way Feed Store in Jefferson City for the last 60 years. He was a member of St. Martin Catholic Church. Henry loved to work at his store and visit with his customers and friends. In his spare time, Henry worked on his farm and tending to his cattle. Survivors include: three children, Greg and Elaine Meller, Lohman; Jayne and Alan Bennett, Hartsburg; Brian Meller, Lohman; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two siblings, Marie and Louis Hentges, Jefferson City; and Clarence "Pat" and Rita Meller, Lohman. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Roy, Lawrence, and Sylvester Meller; and one sister, Helen Kirchner. Mass of Christian Burial will be 12 noon, Thursday, April 7, 2011, at St. Martin Catholic Church with the Rev. Edwin A. Schmidt officiating. Burial will be in St. Martin Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:30-7 p.m. Wednesday, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 4 p.m. Memorials are suggested to Hospice Compassus, 600 Monroe St. Suite 100, Jefferson City, MO 65101.
