Frances Huston

Mrs. Frances Lorraine Huston, age 94 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away Monday, September 27, 2010, at her home. She was born May 24, 1916, in Brookfield, Mo., the daughter of Andrew H. and Lizzie Pearl Kennedy Farrar. She was married on August 21, 1951, to Paul Bryan Huston who preceded her in death on August 31, 1971. Frances was a graduate of Chillicothe Business College in Chillicothe, Mo. She was then employed with the Missouri Division of Employment Security in Jefferson City in 1939. Following that, she was employed with the United States Employment Service during World War II. For a short while, she and her husband operated a public accounting business. She was also employed by Pursley Motors, Central Missouri Motors, and Broom Auto Service in the accounting and tax profession. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Jefferson City, the Presbyterian Women's organization, the Jane Randolph Jefferson Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the General Federated Capital City Woman's Club. She loved spending time with her daughter and always enjoyed sewing and traveling. Survivors include: her daughter, Teresa Lynne Haab and husband Christian David Haab of New Orleans, Louisiana; one niece, Norma Turner of Brookfield, Mo.; three nephews, Clifford Ritchey of Kansas City, Mo., Michael Skain of Brazito, Mo., and John Skain of Germantown, Illinois.; one great-niece, four great-nephews, two great- great-nieces, one great-great- nephew and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one sister, Lucile Ritchey and one brother, Earl Farrar. Visitation will be at the First Presbyterian Church from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 1, 2010. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 1, 2010 at the First Presbyterian Church with the Reverend David Henry officiating. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Laclede Cemetery, Laclede, Mo.
