Stella "Irene" Elliott, 84, of Jefferson City, died Monday, October 25, 2010, at the University Hospital, Columbia. She was born on May 4, 1926, in Chillicothe, the daughter of the late Albert Marion and Lucy Jane Kerns Jewell. She was married in 1941 to Raymond Edward Boley, who preceded her in death. She was later married to Floyd Elliott, who also preceded her in death. Stella worked for Holiday Inn, Charles Still Hospital for 10 years, Jefferson City Day Care Center for 12 years, and ran her own child daycare. Stella attended the Salvation Army and was a member of the CB Club. She enjoyed bingo, fishing, and quilting. Survivors include: three children, Gladys Edwards, Bee Branch, Ark., Billy Boley, Chillicothe, and Mary Graves, Keytesville; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Rosemary Funk, Chillicothe, and Ruby Hedrick, Brookfield. She was preceded in death by four sons, Eugene Boley, Carl Boley, Richard Boley, and Jimmy Boley; two sisters, Etta Mae Batson and Ruth Clay; and five brothers, Clifford Jewell, Alvie Jewell, Charlie Jewell, Jessie Jewell, and Robert Jewell. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Hutchinson Cemetery, Chillicothe.
