Germaine Strope

Germaine Elizabeth Strope, 75, formerly of Jefferson City, died Tuesday, October. 19, 2010, at her residence in Forsyth. She was born on Febuary 27, 1935, in St. Thomas, the daughter of the late Alphonse and Irene Kaiser Kroll. She was married on November 28, 1957, in St. Thomas to James John ìJimî Strope who survives at the home. A homemaker, Mrs. Strope took care of their disabled son for 21 years until his death in 1999. She was a 42 year member of the Cathedral of Saint Joseph loved Branson and its many entertainment offerings and enjoyed shopping on QVC. Other survivors include four sons, Keith (Donna) Strope of Wildwood, Kevin Strope of Blue Springs, Kenny (Susan) Strope of Leeís Summit, and Wayne Strope of Osage Beach; eight grandchildren, Anna (Trent) Darnell, Andrew Strope, Russell Strope, Jordan Strope, Julie Strope, Jonathan Strope, Jared Smith, and Nicholas Strope; two sisters, Angeline Kroll of Jefferson City and Lucy (Paul) Stoehr, Jefferson City; two brothers, Herbert (Henrietta) Kroll of St. Thomas and Ronald (Sophia) Kroll, Wardsville; and one sister-in-law, Betty Kroll of Wardsville. She was preceded in death by one son, Alan Strope; and one brother, Jim Kroll. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Saturday, October 23, 2010, at the Cathedral of Saint Joseph with the Rev. P. Gregory Oligschlaeger officiating. Entombment will be in Resurrection Mausoleum. Visitation will be 4-6 p.m., today, Friday, October 22, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic School, P.O.
