Gertie Holland

Gertie Faye Holland, 66, of Holts Summit, passed away Tuesday, October 19, 2010, at her home. She was born July 2, 1944, in St. James, the daughter of Johnny and Maudelene (Wilson) Watson. She married Jerry Albert Holland in New Haven, on August 10, 1966. He preceded her in death on December 3, 2002. She is survived by one son, Craig Holland of Holts Summit; one daughter, Sandi Bampton and husband Rob of Wentzville; three brothers, Floyd Watson and wife Diana of Jefferson City, Ray Watson and wife Charlene of Hermann, and Roy Watson and wife Molly of Holts Summit; two sisters, Rosie Hanger and husband Herman of Holts Summit and Edna Littrell and husband George of Hermann; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; six nieces and 10 nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and niece, Michelle Watson. Gertie was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, October 23, 2010, at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church in Holts Summit. Burial will follow in Bull Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Friday, October 22, 2010, at Debo Funeral Home in Holts Summit.
