Margaret Strickfaden

Margaret Louise Strickfaden, age 86, of California, passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2010, at the California Care Center in California. She was born January 16, 1924, in Cooper County, the daughter of Henry and Louise Baker Strickfaden, both of whom preceded her in death. Margaret was a 1941 graduate of California High School. She worked as a supervisor for California Manufacturing for over 40 years. She was a member of the Annunciation Catholic Church, in California. Margaret enjoyed playing cards with different clubs, but most of all she loved spending time with family and friends. She will be sadly missed. Survivors include: one sister, Mildred McPherson with her husband Elliott of California; one brother, Harold Strickfaden with his wife Bonnie of Edwardsville, Ill.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by one sister, Velma Fulks; and five brothers, John, Paul, Herbert, Elmer, and Andrew Strickfaden. Visitation will be Saturday, October 16, 2010, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Annunciation Catholic Church in California with funeral services to follow at 11:00 a.m. Father Fred Elscamp will be officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Expressions of sympathy are suggested to the Annunciation Catholic Church in California.
