Clyde Theodore Lock, 91, of Jefferson City died Monday, October 11, 2010, at Capital Region Medical Center. He was born May 11, 1919, in Cole County, near the Henley area, a son of Frank and Emma Christine Schmitz Lock. He attended schools at Oak Grove, Frankenstein and Wardsville. On January 20, 1949, Clyde was united in marriage to Rachel Meier, who survives at their home. Clyde worked for Nixdorff-Krein Manufacturing Company of St. Louis, Tweedie Footwear Corporation and Roark Aluminum and Siding Company until his retirement in 1984. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and former member of the Capitol City Wings RV Club. Clyde enjoyed outdoor activities and working on his farm. He is also survived by two children, Roberta "Robbie" Luebbering and significant other Dewayne Bauer of Jefferson City, Steven Lock and wife, Patricia of Holts Summit; six grandchildren, Amy Luebbering, Aric Luebbering and wife Norma, Geoffrey Luebbering, Johann Luebbering and wife Mariah, Bethany Grove and husband Otis, Terra Lock; and 10 great-grandchildren, Joshua, Brooke, Shiloh, Eowyn and Xander Luebbering, Alexzander and Sophia Grove, Aiden Lock, Serenity Huff and Rowan DuHart. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Clifford Lock (his twin), Irvin Lock, Monroe Lock; and two sisters, Isabella Haslag and Loretta Rimbey. Friends will be received from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Thursday, October 14, 2010, at Trinity Lutheran Church, where funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m., with Rev. Russ Bowder and Rev. Sam Powell officiating. Interment will follow in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Calvary Lutheran High School or the American Heart Association.
