Elizabeth Gallagher

Elizabeth Joan Gallagher, 78, of California, passed away Monday, October 4, 2010, at St. Mary's Health Center in Jefferson City. She was born on October 2, 1932, in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of Arthur G. and Helen K. Steiner, both of whom preceded her in death. She was married on August 22, 1953, in Dayton, Ohio, to Dr. Lionel M. Gallagher, who preceded her in death on March 17, 1990. She was a graduate of Dayton High School, and also graduated from the Bethesda Hospital School of Nursing as an RN in July 1953. She was a member of First Baptist Church in California. She is survived by two sons, Mark P. Gallagher of Columbia, and Michael S. Gallagher and wife Alice of Kansas City; and friends Randy and Shirley Davenport of California. She was preceded in death by one sister, Helen Haller. Private family graveside services will be held today, Thursday, October 7, 2010. Officiating will be Mr. Jack Bowlin. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society of Moniteau County, c/o Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, 100 S. Oak, California, MO 65018.
