William Gasperson

William "Bill" Gasperson, 29, of Columbia, passed away Sunday, November 28, 2010 at Boone Hospital, after a three year battle with cancer. Bill was born on June 5, 1981, in Columbia, the son of Michael Gasperson and Rebecca Crow. He was united in marriage with Sarah Ballard on May 10, 2006, in Fayette, and she survives. He spent his life devoted to his family. Prior to his illness, he was physically active and enjoyed playing basketball, baseball and golfing. After his mobility was limited by his disease, he continued to remain an active participant in the lives of friends and family. In addition to his wife and parents, survivors include the joy of his life, a daughter, Katie; one sister, Jessica Trimble and husband John of Columbia; one nephew, Avery Trimble of Columbia; grandparents, Glenda Crow of Jefferson City and Anna Gasperson of Columbia; and a large extended family. He was preceded in death by two grandfathers, Lee Crow and William Gasperson. Visitation will be held today, Tuesday, November 30, 5-8 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 1, at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Oakland Cemetery.
