William "Bill" Keith Duncan, 50, of Holts Summit, passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2010, in Jefferson City, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born December 23, 1959, in Jefferson City. On November 17, 1995, Bill was united in marriage at the Lake of the Ozarks to Debra Lea Bennett, who survives at the home. His life's passion was to cook and prepare food as a chef. He worked for 10 years with Chef Emeril Lagasse in Las Vegas. He recently returned to Jefferson City were he was a chef at Ruby Tuesdays. He was also a chef for over 20 years at J.B. Hooks at the Lake of the Ozarks. Bill enjoyed fishing, hunting, basketball and football. He was an avid Pittsburg Steelers fan. Along with his wife Debra, he is survived by one son, Christopher James Felsen of Holts Summit; his mother, Mary Jo Kettinger (Gaylon) of Stoutland; maternal grandmother, Virginia Surbaugh of Holts Summit; two brothers, Aaron (Missy) Pemberton of Brumley and Michael (Pat) Pemberton of Kaiser; uncle and aunts, Steve and Nancy Bateman, Sandy Baysinger, all of Holts Summit; mother-in-law, Mary Cooke of Las Vegas, Nevada; father-in-law, Jim (Betty) Bennett of Eldon; brother-in-law, Kelly (Yolanda) Bennett of College Station, Texas, and their children Kyle and Rachael; sisters-in-law, Shelly (Greg) Vaughn of Lake of the Ozarks, and their children Ky and Ryan, and Page (Robert) McCarty of Las Vegas, Nevada, and their daughter Tayler. Bill was preceded in death by his adoptive parents who raised him, Lester and Mary Belle Duncan, and a brother-in-law, Patrick Cooke. Friends will be received from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., Monday, November 29, 2010, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home, where funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. with the Rev. Jay Quinn officiating.
