Irma Lorine Opel

Irma Lorine Opel, 92, of Jefferson City, died Thursday, November 25, 2010, at Heisinger Bluffs. She was born October 22, 1918, in St. Louis, a daughter of Fred and Elizabeth (Conrad) Heinrich. She was a 1936 graduate of California High School. On December 28, 1952, Irma was united in marriage in California to Elder Opel, who preceded her in death on June 26, 1992. Irma was a homemaker and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Jefferson City, where she had been a member of the Ladies' Auxiliary and Circle 5. She is survived by a sister-in-law, Oleta Young of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two nephews, James Allen Young and wife Joyce of Dallas, Ore., and Douglas Young of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and one niece, Debra Ann Opel of Plano, Texas. Friends will be received from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 29, 2010, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home, where funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Samuel Powell and Chaplain Jim Mueller officiating. Interment will follow in Enloe Cemetery.
