Ruth Casebolt

Ruth Kathryn Casebolt, 85, of Jefferson City, passed away Monday, November 8, 2010, at Westbrook Terrace Assisted Living. She was born December 13, 1924, in Stanberry, Missouri, a daughter of James Everett Preston Jennings and Virginia Rowena (Ferris) Jennings. On June 21, 1980, Ruth was united in marriage to Erwin Bain Casebolt, who preceded her in death on April 3, 2000. Ruth was a waitress and ran her own restaurant R&J CafÈ in Bethany, Missouri. She enjoyed quilting, cooking, gardening and spending time with her dog, Maggie. She is survived by five children: Jeanie Lee of Jefferson City, Donnie Bailey of Colorado, John Bailey (wife Neva) of Waxhaw, North Carolina, Cliff Bailey (wife Marsha) of Fayettville, Georgia, Lisa Collins (husband Ski) of Jefferson City; one brother: James Jennings; nine grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters, two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 13, 2010, at Big Niangua Cemetery in Roach, Missouri, with Gary Carey officiating.
