Jeffrey J. Werdehausen, 46, of Holts Summit, passed away Tuesday, October 26, 2010, in Holts Summit. He was born January 22, 1964, in Jefferson City, a son of Raymond and Dolores (Lairmore) Werdehausen. Jeff was a 1982 graduate of Jefferson City High School. On August 5, 2005, Jeff was united in marriage in Jefferson City, to Gina Laucks, who survives at their home. Jeff and his wife Gina owned and operated Silverado Ventures, which includes Critics Choice Rental & Tanning and Ideal Hardware in Holts Summit. He also owned Silverado Muffler & Tire from 1991 - 1999. Prior to 1991, he worked for Doolittle Trailers. He attended St. Andrew Catholic Church. Jeff enjoyed the outdoors, especially working on the family farm. He loved boating at the Lake of the Ozarks, and spending time with his family. He also enjoyed competing in Demolition Derbies. Jeff was always known to be a kid at heart, and always had time to help everyone's children. Along with his wife Gina, he is survived by two sons: Zachary Werdehausen of Holts Summit and Justin Werdehausen of Holts Summit; a step-son: Lucas Distler of Jefferson City; a step-daughter: Lauren Distler of Jefferson City; his parents: Raymond and Dolores Werdehausen of Holts Summit; and one sister: Sharon Moore of Jefferson City. He was preceded in death by a step-sister: Diane Drennan on March 19, 2010. Friends and family will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, November 4, 2010, at the Slater-Millard Family Funeral Chapel in Holts Summit, where funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. A private family service and burial will be held on the Werdehausen Family Farm.
