Michael Gerard Hagenhoff, 51, of Jefferson City, peacefully entered into heaven on Saturday, May 22, 2010, surrounded by his family at his home. Michael was born on August 29, 1958, in Jefferson City, the son of Roman L. and Alberta Elizabeth Eiken Hagenhoff. His parents survive in Taos. He was united in marriage on October 14, 1983, in Taos, to Norma Louise Backes who survives at the home. Mike was employed with Westinghouse which later became ABB as a painter for over 33 years. In his early days, Mike worked as a Janitor at St. Francis Xavier School. He was a member of St. Martin Catholic Church. He was an avid player of horseshoes and enjoyed listening to Blues music. Mike loved to enjoy the outdoors and nature, feeding birds, and was proud of his wife, Norma, tending to her garden. A hobby that Mike loved to enjoy with his family was shooting firecrackers and fireworks off. He was a pyromaniac. Mike was also very proud of his only new car, his blue Chevy pick-up truck. Other survivors include: two children, David (Jessi) Hagenhoff, Columbia; Erica Hagenhoff, Columbia; Patrick Weavers who Michael treated like a son; three siblings, Ron (Jackie) Hagenhoff, Taos; Linda (Charlie) Bruemmer, Jefferson City; Steve (Rita) Hagenhoff, Vienna; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 26, 2010, at St. Martin Catholic Church with the Rev. Edwin A. Schmidt officiating. Burial will be in St. Martin Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the Michael Hagenhoff Family Fund.
