Peter Staude (Veteran)

Peter Staude, 66, of Hot Springs Village, Ark., died Monday, May 17, 2010. He was born February 9, 1944, in Gmunden, Austria, to the late Leonhard Staude and the late Hildegard Steiner Whitman. He served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Conflict. Pete had been a Village resident since 2008 and was the manager of Tranquillo's Restaurant. He is survived by his wife Terri Cantrell Staude of Hot Springs Village, Ark.; two daughters: Rachael Staude of Kansas City, Mo., and Lindsey Somervell of Hot Springs Village, Ark..; brothers: Gunther Staude and wife Christel of Austria, Darby Whitman of Mt. Olive, N.C., and Dennis Whitman of Mt. Olive, N.C.; sisters: Erika Griffin and husband Eugene of Stuart, Fla. and Elizabeth "Sissi" Brandstatter and husband Fritz of Austria; mother-in-law, Barbara Cantrell of Mansfield, Mo. and a brother-in-law: Timothy Cantrell and wife Veronica of Sarasota, Fla. Pete was preceded in death by a brother, Heinz Staude. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, May 21, 2010, at Caruth Village Funeral Home.
