Jerry Gilpin

Jerry N. Gilpin, 58, of Ashland, passed away Sunday, May 16, 2010, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. Jerry was born July 30, 1951, in Jefferson City, Mo., the son of Joseph Gilpin and Carolyn White. He married Vicki Nichols on April 1, 1988, in Ashland. He was a self-employed contractor and was a member of the Ashland Baptist Church. Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Carolyn and William "Bill" Lott of Ashland; his wife, Vicki Gilpin of Ashland; one son, Gabriel Gilpin and his wife, Jodi of Clark; two daughters, Tessa Gilpin of Ashland and Leigh Thomas of Mexico; two brothers, Lenny Gilpin and his wife Susan of Columbia, Brian Gilpin and his wife Linda of Columbia; one step-brother, Jeff Fitzhugh of Ashland; one sister, Kathy Middaugh and her husband Craig of Ashland; four grandchildren, Ashley, Ogden, Mikala Ogden, Darian Gilpin and Spencer Thomas; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Gilpin; his grandparents and one step-brother, Matt Fitzhugh. Services will be held at Robinson Funeral Home on Thursday, May 20, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 19, 2010.
