Thomas Mock

Thomas Wellington Mock, 92, of Holts Summit, passed away Saturday, May 8, 2010, at Oak Tree Villa Nursing Center. He was born April 10, 1918, in Warm Springs, Arkansas, the son of Walter Lehman and Agnes Gertrude Mock. On June 26, 1946, he was united in marriage to Dorothy Drace in Pocahontas, Arkansas, who survives at the home. Thomas attended Maynard High School in Maynard Arkansas, Southeast Missouri State University, Cape Girardeau, and received his Master's degree in Counseling from the University of Missouri, Columbia. Thomas retired from the Missouri Department of Secondary Education as a Counselor. He served in the Japanese and European Theatre in World War II. Thomas enjoyed hunting and fishing, and made his own fishing-flies. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters: Wilma Endicott and Juanita Carrens. Private family services will be held.
