Richard Destatte

Richard Joseph Destatte, 57, of Jefferson City, passed away peacefully Friday, May 7, 2010, at his home. He was born May 28, 1952, in Toledo, Ohio, the son of John Robert Destatte and Gladys Marie Eckel Destatte. He was united in marriage to Candy Schneider, who survives at their home. Richard worked for Modine Manufacturing for 31 years, and served with the Ohio Air National Guard. He enjoyed playing golf, bridge, and spending time with his children. He is survived by one daughter: Michele (Darryl) Ainsworth of Jefferson City; three grandchildren: Alexandria, Spencer, and Maryssa Ainsworth; eight brothers; and six sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother: Joe Destatte. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation or the American Cancer Society.
