Elvera Polys

Elvera A. "Vera" (nee Corner) Polys, age 86, of Florissant, passed away Thursday, April 29, 2010. She was the beloved wife of Marion L. Polys; dear mother of Carolyn (Robert) Smith of Terre Haute, Ind. and Mark (Jennifer) Polys of Jefferson City, Mo.; dear grandmother of Matthew (Candice), David and Timothy Smith; dear great- grandma of Hannah Smith; dear sister of Doris (Jack) Callicotte of Louisville, Ky. She was preceded in death by parents, George and Laura (Keiffer) Corner; brothers Melford and Donald; and nephew, Edward Corner. She was a dear sister-in-law, cousin, aunt and friend to many. Visitation will be held from 3-9 p.m., Sunday, May 2 at Hutchens Mortuary, 675 Graham Rd., Florissant, Mo. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, May 3, at Lutheran Church of the Atonement, 1285 North New Florissant Rd., Florissant, MO 63031. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Lutheran Church of the Atonement Building Fund.
