Julius Peter "Pete" Ochs, 86, of Jefferson City, died Friday, March 26, 2010, at Oak Tree Villa. Julius was born on October 13, 1923, in Leavenworth, Kansas, the son of the late Julius Peter and Vesta Kimball Ochs Sr. He was united in marriage to Catherine Behrle in Leavenworth, Kansas. She preceded him in death April of 1977. Pete worked as a supervisor with Phillips Petroleum Pipeline in Jefferson City for 37 years retiring in 1984. He was a member of the Cathedral of St. Joseph and the American Legion. His favorite hobby included anything with electronics. Survivors include one sister: Harriet Ochs of Jefferson City; two sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law: Louise and William McGlinn of South Bend, Indiana, and Mary Margaret Christin of Pebble Beach, Caifornia; one cousin: Rita Hummel of Prairie Village, Kansas; one niece; and three nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 31, at the Cathedral of St. Joseph with the Rev. Gregory C. Meystrik officiating. Entombment with military honors will be in Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum. Visitation will be 9:30-10:30 a.m. Wednesday, at the church. Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorials are suggested to the Samaritan Center, 1310 E. McCarty St., Jefferson City, MO 65101.
