Florence Elizabeth Feltrop, 89, of Westphalia, died Wednesday, March 24, 2010, at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born on July 9, 1920, in Osage County, the daughter of the late Herman Henry and Regina Marie Scheppers Rothove. She was united in marriage on December 10, 1939, in Jefferson City, to Walter John Feltrop who preceded her in death on July 7, 1995. A homemaker all her life, Mrs. Feltrop worked as an assembly worker for McGraw Edison Co. retiring in 1977. She later worked for Chesebrough-Ponds. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Westphalia, and the St. Ann's Sewing Circle. She greatly enjoyed quilting, gardening, St. Louis Cardinals, and reading. Florence also volunteered at the Westphalia Retirement Center. Survivors include: 11 children, Marjorie (Clarence) Koenigsfeld, Jefferson City, Virginia (Ray) Holtmeyer, Osage Bend; Eileen (Buddy) Hicks, Holts Summit; Sharon (Bill) Masterson, Westphalia; Amy Bax (FiancÈ Dan Swanson), Jefferson City; Richard (JoAnn) Feltrop, Jefferson City; William (Carol) Feltrop, Rich Fountain; Mike Feltrop, Westphalia; Dan (Cathy) Feltrop, Wentzville; Terry (Sherri) Feltrop, Jamestown; David (Sue) Feltrop, Westphalia; 40 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy (Leroy) Even, Westphalia; and one brother and two sisters-in-law, Rudy (Mary Jane) Rothove, Folk; and Mary Ann Rothove, Westphalia. She was preceded in death by a son, Walter Jr.; two daughters, Barbara Case and Susan Feltrop; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Margaret Grellner; and two brothers, Hubert Rothove and Herman Rothove. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 27, 2010, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Westphalia, with the Rev. Mark S. Smith officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Friday at the church with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, Westphalia, is in charge of arrangements.
