Linda Connell (Veteran)

Linda A. Connell, 62, of Jefferson City, passed away Saturday, March 13, 2010, at St. Mary's Health Center in Jefferson City. Linda was born on April 25, 1947, in Fayette, the daughter of James and Gwendolyn (Lloyd) Settle, both of whom preceded her in death. She was married on April 2, 1977, in Holts Summit, to Carles Connell, who survives of the home. She was a homemaker. She served in the United States Army during Vietnam. She is survived by five sons: Bryan Connell of Holts Summit, Brian Pollock and wife Tesha of Wamego, Kansas, Travis Connell and Marc Pollock, both of Jefferson City, and Christopher Connell and wife Rachael of Slater; nine grandchildren; one brother: James Settle Jr. of Henley; three sisters: Patricia Olson of Bear, Delaware, Diane Theroff of Fayette, and Jacqueline Heidinger of Colleyville, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 16, at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services in California. Burial with full military honors will be in New Hope Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Kim Smith and Phil Settle. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. n 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 16, at the funeral home.
