Donald Bowers (Veteran)

Donald E. Bowers, 76, of Clinton, passed away Thursday, March 11, 2010, at Research Hospital, Kansas City. Don was born in Old Franklin, the son of Aubrey and Audrey (Bennett) Bowers. He was an Army veteran serving in Berlin. He was a member of the Elks in Clinton and the Berlin Veteran's Association. He was baptized in the Four Square Church in Boonville, Missouri. He was the owner of the K-BLE Construction and K-BLE Rentals. He is survived by his wife, Beverly, of the home; three sons, Ronald Bowers and wife Linda of Marshfield, Aubrey "Bo" Bowers and wife Tami of Centertown, Erik Bowers and wife Dee Anna of Windsor; one daughter, Rosemary "Rosie" Bowers Birdsong of Sedalia; one step-daughter, Barbara Nelson of Nevada; one brother, Raymond Bowers of Otterville; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, March 15, at Vansant-Mills Chapel in Clinton. Burial will be in Grant Cemetery in Creighton. The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, March 14, at the Chapel. The family suggest contributions to the Grant Cemetery or the Clinton Christian Church.
