Ethel C. Seyfert, 101, of California, Mo., passed away on Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at St. Mary's Health Center in Jefferson City. She was born on December 21, 1908, in St. Louis, Mo., the daughter of William and Mary (Eicher) Hartman, both of whom preceded her in death. She was married in California, Mo. on October 17, 1928, to Walter E. Seyfert, who preceded her in death on January 10, 1994. She worked as a Finishing Clerk at the Moniteau Woolen Mill for many years. She was a member of the California United Church of Christ, the Quilters Club and the Women's Guild. She graduated from the eighth grade at Walnut Grove School. She is survived by one daughter, Jacqueline Crane and husband Bill of California, Mo.; two grandchildren, Russell Crane of California, and Dr. Susan Anschutz and husband David of Lee's Summit, Mo.; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, William Seyfert in August 1999; two sisters and one brother. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 14, 2010, at 3 p.m. at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services in California, Mo. Burial will be in Evangelical Cemetery in California, Mo. Officiating will be Rev. Jeffery Hammonds and Rev. Collette Jones. Visitation will be on Sunday, March 14, 2010, from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the California United Church of Christ. Arrangements are under the direction of Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, California, Mo.
