Bernice Marie Hall, 99, of California, Mo. passed away on Friday, March 5, 2010 at Moniteau Care Center. Bernice was born on June 30, 1910, the daughter of Washington and Emma (Andrews) Blankenship, both of whom preceded her in death. She was married on January 16, 1926 to Elmer Clyde Hall, who also preceded her in death on June 2, 1977. She worked as a clerk for Lemon's Dime Store. She was a member of Union Christian Church and attended Main Street Baptist. She graduated from the eighth grade at High Point School. She is survived by one son, Emmette Hall and wife Bettie of California, Mo.; a daughter-in-law, Margaret Hall of Excelsior Springs, Mo.; two daughters, Verna Volkart and Betty Shikles of Russellville, Mo.; and 12 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, 28 great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by one son, Cletus Hall; one grandson, Kenny Shikles; one great-grandson, Cameron Hees; and two sons-in-law, Garald Shikles and Dean Volkart. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 7, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services in California, Mo. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery near High Point. Officiating will be Mr. Jack Bowlin. Visitation will also be on Sunday, March 7, 2010 from 12:00 p.m. n 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Main Street Baptist Church, 303 W.
