John Young (Veteran)

John L. Young, 63, Jefferson City, passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2010, at his home. John was born February 13, 1947, in Fulton, Missouri, the son of Iva May (Kroell) and Cecil Young, who preceded him in death. He was married to Ruth Bellamy. They had two sons, Brian and Michael, both who preceded him in death. Later, he was married to Janice Twitchell and had one son, Kevin. He is survived by Kevin Young and his wife, Jeanice, and grandchildren, Evan and Cydney of Wilton, New York. He is also survived by numerous cousins and friends in the Fulton and Jefferson City area. John graduated from Fulton High School and Linn State Technical College in Automotive Mechanics. He served in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany. He worked at ABB in Jefferson City and retired from there. He loved to play golf and cards, as well as visiting with family and friends. John was cremated. Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton, Missouri, with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service on Tuesday. Inurnment will be held at Callaway Memorial Gardens.
