Ruby McCray

Ruby E. McCray, 92, of Fulton, Missouri, passed away Monday, June 21, 2010, at University Hospital. She was born August 21, 1917, in Callaway County, Missouri, a daughter of the late Samuel and Alma (Krebs) Mealy. On December 20, 1936, she was united in marriage to Jesse McCray who preceded her in death on October 23, 1984. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by one son, Gary R. McCray and his wife, Doris, of Mokane, Missouri; one daughter, Sharon L. Norris of Edinburgh, Indiana; one sister, Marie McFarland of St. Charles, Missouri; one brother, Chris Mealy of Holts Summit, Missouri; four grandchildren, Loretta Taylor and her husband, Dwight, Gerald McCray and his wife, Dottie, Charles McCray and his wife, Carrie and April McGeorge and her husband, Tony; 10 great-grandchildren, Audrey, Darrin, Rylee, Ellie, Ty, Aliana, Cody, Ty, Justin and Carah; many nieces, nephews and friends. Her parents; her husband; eight brothers, Charles, Walter, John, Russell, Kenneth, Paul, Lloyd and Donald and four sisters, Althea, Patsy, Helen and Hazel preceded her in death. Ruby's life was her home and her church. She was a member of Church of God Holiness in Fulton, Missouri. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 24, 2010, at Church of God Holiness in Fulton, Missouri, with Reverend Travis Sayler and Pastor John Poff officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 23, 2010, at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton, Missouri. Interment will be held at Steedman Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Church of God Holiness or Gideon International, c/o Maupin Funeral Home, 301 Douglas Boulevard, Fulton, Missouri 65251.
