Judy Jean Jobe Gray, age 68, California, Mo., died Thursday, June 17, 2010, in California, Mo. Judy was born in California, Mo. on September 12, 1941, to Albert and Virginia (Derby) Jobe. Judy graduated from the High Point Elementary School and Russellville High School where she graduated with the honor of Salutatorian. She attended Central MO University in Warrensburg, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education and Special Preparation in Music. She was married at California, Mo. on August 18, 1962, to Donald Gray. Judy was a music teacher at Corder and Norborne Elementary Schools. She had substituted in the California Elementary School Music Department. She had worked for Thomas Ceramics in California, Mo. Judy worked as an Executive Assistant for Children's World in St. Louis, Mo. She served as choir director in her church for many years. She served as pianist in her church and taught Sunday School in the children's department. After moving back to California, Mo., Judy worked for the Department of Social Services and the Department of Conservation. Judy is survived by a sister, Patty Wells, with her husband Jerry; a sister-in-law, Ruth Ann Jobe; nieces, nephews, and several great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Jerry Jobe. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 19 at 1:00 p.m. at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services in California, Mo. Officiating will be Father Fred Elskamp. Visitation will also be on Saturday, June 19, from 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Preferred Hospice of Missouri, 1900 N.
