Lois Victorene (Curty) Hunter, 90, Eldon, passed away Wednesday, June 16, 2010, in Versailles. She was born June 25, 1919, in Etterville, Mo., the daughter of Benjamin Holland Curty and Maggie (Bell) Curty. She graduated from Gageville Public Schools. She was married to Samuel David Graham on September 5, 1937, and he preceded her in death on June 9, 1973. She later married Jasper Issac Hunter on March 24, 1992, and he preceded her in death September 16, 2009. She worked at the Department of Agriculture in Jefferson City for over 26 years and received a plaque of appreciation when she retired in 1981. In her childhood, she became a member of the Glenwood Baptist Church. When she moved from the farm to Eldon in 1973, she changed her membership to the First Baptist Church of Eldon, Missouri. She enjoyed gardening, fishing and traveling with Jasper to Hawaii and Alaska. Visitation will be 12 p.m. - 2 p.m. Saturday, June 19, 2010, at First Baptist Church in Eldon. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 19, 2010, at the church, with Rev. Bob Buster and Rev. David White officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Eldon. Memorial contributions are suggested to Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Eldon Food Pantry or the First Baptist Church of Eldon, Mo.
