Rosie Allison

Rosie Lee Allison, 87, of Tipton, passed away Monday, June 7, 2010, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City. She was born December 14, 1922, in California, a daughter of Ernest Wear and Clara Maness Wear. She married Cecil B. Allison on January 31, 1942 in Florence. He preceded her in death on December 5, 1989. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law: Steve Allison and his wife Budgie of Tipton; daughters: Cecilia Dunham and her husband John of Versailles and Rosie Dick and her husband Danny of Tipton; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four sisters; one brother; and one son: Larry Lee Allison. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, June 11, at Syracuse Baptist Church in Syracuse. Burial will be in Syracuse Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 - 7 p.m. Thursday, June 10, at Meisenheimer Funeral Home in Tipton. Memorials are suggested to Tipton Recreation Assn. and St. Jude's Hospital.
