Jacqueline Ruth Knernschield, age 77, of Lohman, died Friday, June 4, 2010, at her home. She was born May 6, 1933, in Eldon, a daughter of Earl Stanley and Edna Pearl Ackers Rannabarger, both deceased. Jackie married H.D. Tambke on July 15, 1950, and to this union two children were born. H.D. preceded her in death on October 14, 1986. On August 11, 1988, she married Cecil Knernschield, and he survives at their home. She attended Russellville High School. Jackie co-owned and operated Tambke Petro Company in Russellville until her retirement in 1991. She was instrumental in the establishment of the Russellville Community Pool and in putting the Russellville rural fire department back in good working order. She was an avid bluegrass music fan and enjoyed playing in her family's band. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Russellville and attended the St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Lohman. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, David Earl Tambke and wife Bernadine of Russellville; a daughter, Betty Sue Breshears and husband William of Republic; a brother, Darrell "Bo" Ranabarger and wife Glenda of Centertown; two sisters, Gloria Miller of Russellville and Mary Kathryn Kirkweg and husband Alfred of Centertown; three grandchildren, Jenifer Seaver and husband Adam, Michael Tambke and Kara Breshears, three great-grandchildren, Mailee Tambke and Christopher and Justin Seaver, (her fourth great-grandchild is due in November); along with other relatives and friends. Jackie was also preceded in death by a brother, James Ranabarger, and a sister, Marguerite Watts. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 8, at St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Lohman with Pastor Edward L. Merckel officiating. Interment will be in the Enloe Cemetery west of Russellville. The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Russellville Community Pool or the charity of the donor's choice.
