Linda Lucille Laux, 65, of Jefferson City, died Tuesday, July 27, 2010, at Adams Street Place. She was born on June 29, 1945, in Wichita Falls, Texas, the daughter of the late Bruno Joseph and Catherine Augusta Kempker Otto. She was married on April 24, 1965, in Jefferson City to James Edward Laux, who survives at the home. Mrs. Laux was a 1963 graduate of Helias High School and attended Nichols Career Center. A homemaker, she had been employed through the years with the Missouri Department of Revenue, Missouri Department of Secondary Education, and the Missouri Department of Corrections. She also did in-home child care. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church where she was an active volunteer; Classy Red Hatters; River City Reds; and Ladies Sodality. She had served as Assistant Den Leader with the Girl Scouts and was a Cub Scout leader. Survivors include: one daughter, Lesa (Chris) Wilson of Jefferson City; one son, Daniel (Heather) Laux of Jefferson City; one grandson, Christopher Adams; and three step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother, John Otto. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday, July 29th, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. conducted by the Rev. Mr. Raymond L. Purvis. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday, July 30, 2010, at St. Peter Catholic Church with the Rev. Francis Doyle officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
