Mr. Paul E. Corl III, age 56 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away Wednesday, July 21, 2010, at his home. Paul was born on July 6, 1954, in Jefferson City, Mo., the son of Paul Eugene "Gene" Jr. and Veronica M. "Fronie" Kampeter Corl. A resident of Jefferson City for the majority of his life, Paul was a 1972 graduate of Jefferson City High School. He served in the United States Navy from 1979 until 1982, with the air antisubmarine squadron 30 on the USS Forrestal. After his service with the Navy, he worked in Kansas City, Mo. and Florida installing cable television until he returned to Jefferson City in 1989. Paul loved music and being in the outdoors, especially fishing and camping. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and riding his Harley Davidson Chopper around the United States. Survivors include: his parents, Fronie and Gene Corl of Jefferson City, Mo.; two sisters, Geana Godsy and her husband Martin and Carla Trower and her husband Stephen, both of Jefferson City, Mo.; six nieces and nephews, Nathan Godsy and his wife Misty, Sasha Kremer and her husband Steven, Andy Godsy, Samantha Davis and her husband Nathan, Alexandria Trower, and Jonathan Trower; and several aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ben Corl, on August 5, 1990. Private funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, July 25, 2010, in the Freeman Chapel. Private graveside services and interment with full military honors will be conducted on Monday, July 26, 2010, at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, Mo.
