Judith Ann Adrian, 72, of Holts Summit, died Sunday, July 18, 2010 at her home. She was born October 29, 1937, in Mexico, Missouri, a daughter of Roy L. and Anna Kathryn (Isman) Fike. She was a 1955 graduate of St. Peter High School in Jefferson City, and attended Lincoln University. Judy was the social services director for Lincoln Nursing Home/Beverly Healthcare for 11 years, an executive secretary at St. Mary's Health Center, an executive secretary with the Missouri Department of Agriculture for 13 years, a secretary for the Missouri Department of Health and worked for SAMCO Business Supply. She was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church in Holts Summit. As she raised her four sons, she was active in Boy Scouts and Immaculate Conception Parish, and later with hospice, Samaritan Center and St. Mary's Pastoral Services. She was one of the 50 charter members of the Little Theatre. Judy listened to, played and created music; she'd travel to any beach and made magic happen every Christmas Eve. Judy cared for the sick, the poor and the elderly through her work at the Samaritan Center, the nursing home and St. Mary's. She enjoyed the history and laughter of friends and the rowdiness and love of family. She was blessed by her endless faith in God. Judy will be missed by all. Survivors include four sons: Douglas Allen Adrian (Julie) of Jefferson City, Michael Christopher Adrian (Shari) of DeWitt, Michigan, Stephen Joseph Adrian (Hellen) of Holts Summit, Anthony Roy Adrian (Onna) of Jefferson City; one sister, Janet Kay Robinson (Dennis) of Fenton; one niece, Stacy Knernschield (Rick); one nephew, Jared Normington (Laura); 15 grandchildren: Jeremiah, Wendi, Liza, Alex, Christopher, Jordan, Damien, Darius, Stevie Jo, Kelly, Clayton, Katie, Roger, David and Jeremy; and 27 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Becky Jolene Adrian on August 2, 1957; sister, Patricia Fike; and great-grandson, Trysten Joseph Bellamy. Friends will be received from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home, where a prayer service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 22, 2010 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Samaritan Center, St. Jude's Children's Hospital or SSM St. Mary's Hospice.
