Dorothy M. Gibler, 95, of Jefferson City, passed away Friday, July 16, 2010, at Villa Marie Skilled Nursing Center. She was born on March 9, 1915, in Cole County, the daughter of the late August and Stella Clardy Kleindienst. She attended Claysville School and a Lutheran Grade School in Jefferson City. She was married on March 30, 1932, in Jefferson City, to Orval O. Gibler, who preceded her in death. She retired from the Missouri Department of Revenue. She enjoyed crafts, quilting and especially spending time with her family. She is survived by: two daughters, Belva L. Hackman (Kenneth) of Jefferson City and Shelby E. Loethen Brown of Jefferson City; a daughter-in-law, Jean Gibler of Jefferson City; one brother, David Kleindienst of Jefferson City; one sister, Letha Bunton of Ft. Collins, Colo.; 10 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great- great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by: two sons, William R. Gibler and Donald Gibler; two brothers, Paul Kleindienst and Alfred Kleindienst; two sons-in-law, Donald Loethen and Alfred Brown; and a great- granddaughter, Amanda Payne. Friends will be received today from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home with funeral services immediately following at 11:00 a.m., with Mr. Kenneth Payne officiating. Burial will follow in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Villa Marie Skilled Nursing Facility or a charity of the donor's choice.
