Margaret Kolb

Margaret E. Kolb, 91, of Jefferson City, passed away Thursday, July 15, 2010, at Adams Street Place. She was born on June 16, 1919, in Jefferson City, the daughter of Charles James and Pauline M. Hager Clark. She was a graduate of St. Peters High School. She was married on February 10, 1943, in Jefferson City, to Cletus Anthony Kolb, who preceded her in death on December 5, 2000. She was co-owner with her husband, Cletus, of Jefferson City Oil Company until 1990. She was a member of the Cathedral of St. Joseph, Immaculate Conception Church Circle, the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre, 4th Degree Knights of Columbus Auxiliary, St. Mary's Auxiliary, along with numerous business associations. She loved playing bridge, sewing, quilting, fishing, golfing, entertaining and hosting family gatherings. She was always known for providing her grandchildren with words of advice, also known as "Mimi-isms". She is survived by two sons: John Kolb and his wife Peggy and Tom Kolb and his wife Brenda, both of Jefferson City; four daughters: Linda Landwehr and her husband James of Jefferson City, Carolyn Klebba and her husband John of Lakewood, Colorado, Margaret Miller of Columbia, Julie Riley and her husband Kevin L. of Jefferson City; two brothers: Louis Clark of Chesterfield, Mo., and Joe Clark of Vista, California; two sisters: Anne Davis of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and Mary Jane Fagan of Tuscon, Arizona; 14 grandchildren: Louis Landwehr, Sara Landwehr Gutekunst, Josh Landwehr, Michael Klebba, Kristen Klebba Kellogg, David Klebba, Jennifer Kolb, Jeanne Kolb Jacobek, Jane Kolb, Andrea Miller Heller, John D. Miller, Paige Kolb, T.K. Kolb and Ben Kolb; and nine great- grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two brothers: Ephraim Clark and John Clark. Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, July 18, 2010, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home, where a prayer service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 19, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at the Cathedral of St. Joseph with Father Ben Nowsu officiating. Entombment will follow in the Resurrection Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to St. Joseph's School, St. Mary's Foundation or the Heisinger Hope Foundation (for benevolent care).
