Ruby Hayes

Ruby Hayes, age 92, of Vienna, formerly of Rolla, passed away Monday, July 12, 2010. Ruby was born April 30, 1918, in Montgomery County, to Reeder T. Clement and Mattie (Conley) Clement. On June 6, 1937, she married Clifford Parker Hayes and to this union, three children were born. Clifford preceded her in death in 1961. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Larry Hayes; a great- granddaughter, Victoria Hayes; a sister, Catherine Hayes; and two brothers, Charles Clement and Lester Clement. Ruby will be sadly missed by her surviving family which includes: one son, Donald Hayes and wife Alice of Portsmouth, N.H.; one daughter, Rev. Karen Alden and husband Bill of Vienna; one daughter-in-law, Jane Hayes of Vienna; 11 grandchildren, and 15 great- grandchildren. A funeral service for Ruby Hayes will be conducted at 11 a.m. today, Thursday, July 15, 2010 at the Vienna United Methodist Church. Rev. Karen Alden will officiate. Interment will follow the service at the Kenner Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the service beginning at 9 a.m. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Vienna United Methodist Church Building Fund.
