Robert DeBrodie

Robert Wesley DeBrodie, 47, of Jefferson City, passed away Monday, July 12, 2010, at Capital Region Medical Center. He was born on March 11, 1963, in Fulton, Mo., a son of Carl W. Debrodie and Shirley M. Watson. He attended school in Callaway County. In 2005, he was united in marriage in Fredonia, Kan. to Kim (Cochran), who survives at their home. Robert worked in construction as a laborer. He enjoyed fishing, playing ball, spending time with his family and his beloved dog Valentine. Survivors include: one son, Dustin DeBrodie; two step-sons, Mark Ambroe and Bobby Gibbs Jr.; one step-daughter, Bethany Jimenze; two brothers Terry Watson (Patty) and Larry DeBrodie (Sherry); four sisters, Kathy Smith (Kenny), Sharon Strope (Robert), Carolyn Summers (Larry) and Lisa Summers (John); seven grandchildren, 27 nieces and nephews; 42 great-nieces and nephews; and all who loved him as their own father. He was preceded in death by: his daughter Dezeare Debrodie; son Josh; siblings, Terry, Gary and Wanda and one niece Kristin. Friends will be received from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 15, 2010, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 16, 2010, at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Longview Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the charity of donor's choice.
