James Steven "Steve" Hiatt, 53, Dededo, Guam, passed away suddenly Wednesday, June 23, 2010, at the U.S. Naval Hospital in Agana, Guam. Steve was born October 6, 1956, in Fulton, Missouri to Pierce E. Hiatt and Lorene Kemp Pierce. Steve graduated from Hickman High School in Columbia, Mo. in 1974. He joined the U.S. Air Force the same year and retired after 22 years as Master Sergeant specializing in Military Police. He made his home in Dededo, Guam. Steve is survived by his mother of Steedman; his son, James Steven Hiatt II of Hutto, Texas; four sisters, Donna Wells, Fayette, Delores Fisher, Ashland, Lisa Robbins, Mokane, Carol Holt, Fulton and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Steve was preceded in death by his father; step-father, Gene Pierce and niece, Christine Fisher. Military burial was in Guam on July 6, 2010. A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 17, 2010, at 1:30 p.m., at the Mokane Christian Church, Mokane, Missouri, officiated by Bruce Williamson. Friemonth-Freese Funeral Service.
